The Recession Debates - How will entrepreneurialism survive?

Ashridge Education and Skills and the City & Guilds Centre for Skills Development came together yesterday to organise a conference on Entrepreneurialism in these turbulent times.

Derek Browne, EiA’s CEO, was a keynote speaker and built a powerful case of how such times can in fact stimulate very innovative thinking and create a wealth of opportunities. The talk followed a theme of "Who wants to be an entrepreneur?" and culminated with an underlying message that success in a recession comes not as a result of a slumdog millionaire style moment but spawns from hard work, innovation and creative thinking. Derek presented the need to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs by unlocking the talents and potential of young people.
