Just after Easter 100 ‘Young Gifted and Talented’ students from schools in Croydon and Lambeth participated in a programme, ‘From Classroom to Boardroom’, at Trinity School in Croydon

The aim was to give the students a real taste of the business world and to help the Year 8 students make better choices in one year’s time as they would then have the option to select one of the new 14-19 Diplomas, specialising in either Engineering or Creative and Media.

The 2-day programme, delivered in November 2007, was developed specifically to work with a small group of 12 young foyer residents, who were considering signing up for the East Potential Construction programme.

In November 2007 EiA ran an exciting afternoon and evening event to launch the Creative and Media Diploma for 4 schools and an FE college in Hounslow
